Originally an archer armor piece to protect their forearm from the bow string when they fire arrows, the armband was then used by anyone for a piece of armor or decorative outfit. The entangled circles on this design come from the many stone sculptures of some  Brittany and Irish Cathedrals. In the middle is the Celtic symbol Triskell, bearing many meanings as well as origins, reinforcing the mystery around itself and the bearer of this armband.
